Iris Bristol At The Beach
If you’ve never heard of Iris Bristol you’re not alone. Her most notable film appearance is in My Fair Lady (1964) in a brief uncredited role as a flower girl. Iris, born in Worcester, England November 20, 1931 is more well known for gracing the covers of male libido boosting magazines in the 1950s and 1960s, than she is for movies. At five foot three with an hourglass figure, Iris’ décolleté was put on display frequently.
Mammary obsessed photographer and director Russ Meyer took this cover shot of Iris for Modern Man in 1963.
Iris made a few films, usually uncredited, and appeared on television in such series as Thriller, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour and Boris Karloff Presents.
A detailed search reveals Iris has not been on screen since 1967 on an NBC Bob Hope special. In this day and age where everyone seems traceable, there is scant information on Iris over the last fifty years. She was married to actor Jeff Daley until his death in 2005 and had one child with him.
There’s no record of Iris in the Social Security Death Index or any mention of her in newspapers or magazines since 1967. If anyone knows what Iris has ben up to for the last few decades drop us a line.
