Strange Snowman Photograph
Why is this snowman so unhappy? Too much snow? Not enough? Too warm?
It must have been a slow news day whenever this stunt photo was taken for publication. It looks to be from the 1960s or 1970s based on the “snowman’s” attire. Unfortunately there’s no further information or news slug to identify what exactly is going on here.
The snowman is pondering the fleeting nature of life. He is literally shoveling away the essence of his being, the very atoms of his existence. He knows that invariably shoveling the snow leads to its disposal, and soon he will join it. Sic transit gloria mundi.
Or, he is just tired of shoveling it.
There’s clearly someone in the lower part. I hope they didn’t make some poor intern go out and sit with a giant snowball on his head for this photo.
