Best Legs Contest – Really?

Unfortunately this is an undated photograph with no location or news slug to identify any of the specifics. The photo appears to be from the 1950s based upon judges and participants hairstyles and outfits.

Obviously it is a best legs competition. Unlike many other best legs competitions, where the judges only see legs, the women’s anatomy and faces are visible.

The three male judges seem enamored with one of the contestants to their right based upon eye contact. Maybe this is reading too much into the judges’ smiles, but it would seem that “legs” was not the on;y criteria used to decide a winner.
