The History Channel has been stretching a not very unique idea into an eight episode program with few surprises called Hunting Hitler.  The premise is that Nazi Fuehrer Adolf Hitler and his consort Eva Braun faked their suicides and fled Berlin in the closing days of the war.

Even before the show aired there have been many people (not just among conspiracy theorists), who believe it is possible that Hitler did not die by his own hand in an underground bunker on April 30, 1945 as widely reported.

Until definitive evidence surfaces on what happened to Hitler, there is only one thing that is certain, unless he is the Methuselah of vile dictators, Hitler is now definitely dead.

The problem with the program is that in this “hunt” there are way too many statements from the investigators of this nature: “Hitler could have…;”  “he might have…;” “it’s, possible Hitler…”; “it’s conceivable Hitler may have…” etc.

Sure, anything is possible, but the evidence the show presents is highly speculative.

Hunting Hitler bases a lot of their investigation on newly declassified FBI documents. Most of the information about Hitler escaping to Argentina is not new, especially to magazines like the National Police Gazette.

Adolf Hitler was featured 76 times in the National Police Gazette from 1951 – 1968. He made the cover 37 times. According to the Gazette, Hitler was definitely in Argentina. That is until 1968 when they said Hitler was in Bogota, Colombia. And the Gazette seemed to know what would sell magazines even if it was with a nod and a wink.

Here is a small sample of just the covers of the National Police Gazette featuring Hitler’s possible survival. Most of the photos of the covers from the  are from PulpInternational.com

Las pruebas de ADN demostraron que la mandíbula que conserva Rusia no pertenece a adolf hitler ni a eva braun ..

(SNCA Editors translation:) DNA tests showed that the jaw that Russia preserves does not belong to adolf hitler nor to eva braun

Forensic examination of the jawbone attributed to Hitler along with detailed, independent reconstructions of his dental work by his dentist and two dental techs and archived skull X-rays prove Hitler died in Berlin.

Wrong. You are referring to a skull fragment which was recovered from the burial pit a year after the war. This was examined in 2009 by Dr. Nicholas Bellantoni who found female DNA on it. It’s a red herring, it proves nothing. The dental remnants were never DNA tested.
