Burt Lancaster -The Killers 1946

Burt Lancaster The Killers 1946

Burt Lancaster (1913 -1994) appeared in over 80 feature films. His first was The Killers (1946) and it made him a star.

One of the greatest actors of his generation, the authenticity he brought to his roles made Lancaster stand out and endeared him to movie audiences for over forty years.

I’ve enjoyed dozens of his movies, but if I had to pick just five of his top performances, they would be: From Here To Eternity (1953); The Sweet Smell of Success (1957); Elmer Gantry (1960); The Train (1964) and The Professionals (1966).
